What do you like about RASKC volunteering?

A: I love being a volunteer at RASKC, because I get to help animals in need. Also, when I see all the animals, it helps me relieve stress from school and work. And it always puts me in a good mood when I get to work with the dogs or even washing the dishes.

What is something that you learned during RASKC volunteering?

One thing I learned from being a RASKC volunteer was patience and understanding. I realized after starting on the Dog Team, that it may take time for some animals to open up and come out of their shell. It just takes time and love for them to show their true selves.

Given the COVID quarantine, what is something that is helping you get through these unprecedented times?

Some things that helped me get through quarantine was walking my dog and taking her for car rides. She is a lab who is about 13 years old. She doesn’t usually get to travel around much, so it was fun watching her explore. Also, being able to catch up on sleep was nice.
