Meet Donna! RASKC is extremely happy to honor Donna Tredway as Volunteer of the Month. Having started in 2011, Donna is one of the longest-serving volunteers on a continuous weekly shift. She has contributed over 730 shifts so far. Donna is also one of RASKC’s most reliable volunteers. For many years, Donna worked two shifts each […]

Meet Oscar! RASKC is enormously pleased to shine the spotlight on Outstanding New Volunteer Oscar Avila. He serves as a “red” Dog Walker, which means he walks the dogs in our adoption area who are in most need of skillful guidance. In pre-COVID times, Oscar worked a weekly two-hour shift with RASKC dogs. In his mid-20s, bilingual, a rugby player, and a resident of Kent, Oscar has shown tremendous enthusiasm. He has even assisted with a Warm 106.9 “Wet Nose Wednesday” video for the radio station’s website that featured one of our difficult-to-adopt “red” dogs.

Kye recently dropped off a bucket full of painted rocks. RASKC staff had a blast using them to decorate our upgraded pet food bank, and they have brightened the space up as you’re approaching our front doors. See video below, images and Q&A with the artist: Kye!

Thank you Kye for thinking of RASKC and sharing your hobby with us
