Pet of the Week: Dottie

Here’s an affectionate lovebug for our Pet of the Week – meet Dottie!

This two-year-old German Shorthair Pointer/Australian Cattle Dog mix was brought in by a good Samaritan in early December. She was adopted, but sadly came back to us in January because she didn’t get along with other dogs.

Dottie loves people! She enjoys giving and receiving affection all day long. She is considered a large breed dog, and is very treat motivated. She especially loves jerky and peanut butter. Dottie is smart, and already knows a few commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “go potty.”

Dottie has a “Rambunctious Red” personality. While she is an adaptable dog that goes with the flow around humans, she can be very reactive towards other dogs. With her people, though, Dottie is outgoing and carefree, and can’t wait to find her forever home!

Can you give Dottie a place to call her own? She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Dottie’s adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since she is our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
