Pet of the Week: Gelato
How about this tasty treat for Pet of the Week? Here’s Gelato!
This young pittie/German Shepherd mix was first brought in by a good Samaritan back in May. He was adopted and had a home for a little while, but sadly came back to RASKC in late December.
At 55 pounds, Gelato is a large breed dog. He is a high energy boy looking for a family that is strong, patient, and willing to help him become the best dog he can be. Because he’s so spirited and energetic, Gelato is one of our “Rambunctious Red” personality pets. Gelato is very treat motivated, so that should help with training. He also loves to play! He tends to calm down more when the people around him stay calm.
Gelato is an active boy, so he needs lots of exercise and something to keep his mind busy. Right now, Gelato doesn’t have the best doggie manners, so he would do best in a home with older children or no children. Gelato also isn’t fond of other dogs, so he will do best as the only dog in his new home.
Are you ready to welcome Gelato into your life? He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Gelato’s adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since he is our Pet of the Week, his adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
