Pet of the Week: Mooseph
Look at that adorable eye patch! No, it’s not a pirate – it’s Mooseph, our Pet of the Week!
This four-year-old pittie was brought in by a good Samaritan in early January. Mooseph is a very smart girl, practicing how to “sit,” “stay,” “come,” “down,” and “shake.” She is also an affectionate lovebug and would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home.
Mooseph is considered a large breed dog, but she likes to think she’s a lap dog. She is full of energy and loves to play, making her one of our “Rambunctious Red” personality pets. Mooseph tends to calm down when the people around her stay calm, and she does best when she has lots of exercise and something to keep her mind busy.
Due to her size and energy, Mooseph would do best in a home with older children. She will need a home where someone is available for her in the early days. It’s important to be consistent with her and socialize her so she can have the best companionship with people and other animals. Mooseph will need patience and TLC while she learns because everything is brand new to her. Mooseph is not yet potty trained or crate trained. Teaching her those skills will help tremendously on her road to success.
If you and your family are ready to fall in love with this awesome dog, come visit her at the Pet Adoption Center! Mooseph is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since Mooseph is our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
