Pet of the Week: Banta
Our “Home for the Holidays” special is on now – can you provide a warm, cozy home for Pet of the Week Banta?
This young cat was brought in by a good Samaritan in mid-October. When he first arrived at the Pet Adoption Center, Banta was very scared and unsure of people. While he is still a little shy guy, Banta is slowly warming up to people and learning that they aren’t so bad. Because Banta is so shy, he’s one of our “Bashful Blue” personality pets. He would do best in a calm, quiet home so that as he gets more comfortable, his true colors and personality will shine.
Banta really enjoys chin scratches and can be playful once he opens up. He can get nervous in new situations, so his new family will need to take things slow at first. But once this sweet, mellow fellow gets to know you, Banta will be a very devoted friend!
If you have a weak spot for black cats, Banta could be the one for you! He is litterbox trained, neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Banta’s adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since he is our Pet of the Week, Banta’s adoption fee is reduced, although a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
