Pet of the Week: Bunny

We’ve got a “Bunny” for Pet of the Week this week – a kitten named Bunny!

This 11-week-old grey cutie came to us in early June. She had been staying with a foster family, where her “Easy Going Green” personality blossomed! Bunny is an adaptable cat who loves to go with the flow, outgoing and carefree. She is also a great snuggler! Caregivers have noticed that Bunny does well with other cats, but a slow introduction is always best.

During her initial health exam, Bunny tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). Her mother also had FeLV. With proper health care, Bunny can live a long and happy life. Since FeLV is contagious, it’s best if Bunny goes to a home with other FeLV+ cats, or as an “only kitty.”

Bunny is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since she is our Pet of the Week, Bunny’s adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may apply. Find out all about the benefits of a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

Our Pet Adoption Center in Kent is open to walk-in adoption visitors weekdays from noon to 5 p.m., and weekends noon to 4 p.m. Visit our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet to see all of our adoptable pets, and learn more about our adoption processes.
