Pet of the Week: Coach

This Coach is ready to play – say hello to our Pet of the Week!

Coach is a young German Shepherd available for adoption. He was brought in by an animal control officer in mid-March, and was adopted once. However, he came back to the Pet Adoption Center in mid-May because he was a bit too much for his new family to handle.

Coach has a “Rambunctious Red” personality, meaning he is full of energy and loves to play. Coach can be hard on his belongings, including his toys, so his adopters will need to keep an eye out. He does best when he has lots of exercise and activities to keep his young mind busy. Caregivers have noted that Coach isn’t a fan of other dogs, so he may need to be the “only pet” in your home, and would prefer a home with no children, or perhaps with older children.

Coach is still learning his doggie manners, so he will need a family that is willing to work with him to be the best dog he can be. Coach also tends to “resource guard” his person, so he and his new adopters will both benefit from in-home guidance to help manage and improve this behavior.

Can you provide the active, happy, permanent home Coach is looking for? He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. And since he is our Pet of the Week, Coach’s adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply.
