Pet of the Week: Kai

Spunky, spirited Kai is our Pet of the Week!

This young tabby boy came to us just a couple of weeks ago. He is an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home. Kai also has a very independent (some might say stubborn) streak, so he’s one of our “Rambunctious Red” personality pets. Like many one-year-olds, Kai likes to do things on his own terms – but he can be bribed with food. He’s easily won over with tasty nibbles, so with positive reinforcement training he will be a wonderful companion.

Can you give Kai the loving, nurturing home he wants? He is litterbox trained, neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Kai’s adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since he is our Pet of the Week, Kai’s adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

Our Pet Adoption Center in Kent is open to walk-in adoption visitors weekdays from noon to 5 p.m., and weekends noon to 4 p.m. Please note that we will be closed on Monday, June 20 for the Juneteenth holiday. Visit our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet to see all of our adoptable pets, and learn more about our adoption processes. If you have questions, reach out to us at pets@kingcounty.gov or call 206-296-7387 (PETS).
