Pet of the Week: Beatrice

Are you looking for a snuggle buddy? Then let us introduce you to Beatrice, our Pet of the Week!

This 55-pound pittie mix has the sweetest demeanor. She was brought in by a good Samaritan in early January after they found her tied to a tree.

Beatrice is a little shy at first, but all she really wants is your love and attention. She is very treat motivated and knows the commands “sit” and “paw.” Once you hand feed Beatrice a few treats, she just wants to crawl into your lap for some snuggles. Because she is a bit timid, Beatrice would do best in a quiet and calm home.

Since Beatrice likes to take things slow, she is one of our “Bashful Blue” personality pets. She may get nervous in new situations, so she is looking for a family who understands that she might take some time to warm up. Once Beatrice gets to know you, she will be a very devoted friend!

Beatrice has some hair loss, but our veterinarian believes this is caused by allergies. She is currently on a special diet that has limited ingredients, which is helping Beatrice to not feel so itchy and help her fur grow in again. Additional care for these conditions may be needed, so you will want to follow up with your regular veterinarian when you adopt Beatrice.

Can you give Beatrice the warm, loving home she deserves? She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since Beatrice is our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee has been reduced. However, a pet license fee may still apply.
