Pet of the Week: Bert
This is one laid-back cat – meet Bert, our Pet of the Week!
This young gray and white tabby was brought in by a Good Samaritan in June. He has a “Bashful Blue” personality, meaning he may get nervous in new situations. Bert would like a family who understands that he might need some time to warm up, but after that he will be a very devoted friend!
Bert can be timid, and he likes to find hiding spots. However, if you pet him gently on the nose, he will knead and softly purr. This little boy also has an independent streak and likes to do his own thing. Bert may get overstimulated with petting, so keep an eye out for signs that he might need a break. A calm, quiet home would be ideal!
Bert is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. And since he’s the Pet of the Week, there’s no adoption fee! (A pet license fee may still be required.)
Visit Bert or other furry friends on our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. To keep our people healthy, RASKC has moved to adoptions by appointment only. Visit our website to make a reservation, or contact us with questions at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or pets@kingcounty.gov.
