Pet of the Week: Dusty

Say hello to this handsome gentleman – Dusty is our Pet of the Week!

This senior boy is very sweet and loving, and loves pets from head to tail. His favorites are head rubs and scratches behind his ears. Dusty also likes the double-cheek smoosh – where you gently rub both his cheeks at the same time. He may even do the roly poly as you pet him! And unlike some cats, Dusty enjoys a good gentle belly rub. In fact, he would probably love to just curl up in your lap as you shower him with love and pets! And he’s not shy about purring to let you know he’s happy!

Dusty was brought in by his previous owner because they couldn’t get his skin condition under control. This was most likely brought on by flea allergies, which can be managed by keeping him current on flea prevention. Dusty also had surgery to repair a hernia, so he may still require some specialized care. The staff at RASKC will be happy to answer any questions when you come visit Dusty.

Dusty has an “Easy Going Green” personality, meaning he’s an adaptable cat who loves to go with the flow. Dusty is a tremendous lovebug with lots of love to give! If you’re looking for a handsome, older gentleman to share your home with, Dusty could be the one for you!

Dusty is litter box trained, neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice, and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. You can find out more about Dusty at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet, or come visit him in person at the Pet Adoption Center in Kent.
