Pet of the Week: Cichlid
Come in to meet Cichlid, our Pet of the Week!
This two-year-old tabby boy was brought in to the Pet Adoption Center in mid-June. He is a bit of a shy guy, so being in the shelter is a lot for him. While Cichlid won’t approach you at first, if you come to him to say hi he will “talk” to you!
Cichlid is a gentle and loving cat who likes to take things slow. Because of his shy nature, he will do best in a calm, quiet home without young children. When he arrives in his new home, it will be important to be patient with him and allow him time to acclimate. It would be best to keep Cichlid in a small, quiet room with his food, bed, and a litter box until he’s comfortable and confident enough to start exploring.
Cichlid will make a great companion for anyone who takes the time to get to know him. Once you do, he will be a very devoted friend!
Interested in adopting Cichlid? He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including an invitation for Fetch Pet Insurance. Fetch offers the most comprehensive plan in North America with no restrictions on breed, age, or size. Together, RASKC and Fetch are making sure pets are happy and healthy in their new forever homes!
As our Pet of the Week, Cichlid’s adoption fee has been reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a King County pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
