Pet of the Week: Frostpine

Here’s one for all our Fortnite fanatics: Frostpine, our Pet of the Week!

This young pittie boy was brought in by an animal control officer in early December. At 70 pounds, he’s considered a large breed dog.

Frostpine is very energetic, and loves to play with his toys. He’s one of our Rambunctious Red personality pets, so his new people will need to have lots of energy to match his. Frostpine also loves to snuggle up with people, but he’s not a big fan of other dogs. So, he will probably do best as the “only dog” in his new home.

Since he’s only just a year old, Frostpine is still learning his best doggy manners. At the Pet Adoption Center, he’s been learning how to sit, shake, and come. He can be a bit stubborn, but with lots of patience and treats, he is learning his commands. He will need people who are willing to work with him to become the best dog he can be.

Interested in adopting Frostpine? He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion, and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. Even though he’s still pretty young, Frostpine still qualifies for our “Name Your Price” promotion on adult dogs. You decide what you’d like to pay for his adoption fee – it could even be free! (Note that a pet license fee may still apply.) Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

We’d love to see you soon at the Pet Adoption Center! We’re located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Open adoption hours are weekdays noon to 5 p.m. and weekends noon to 4 p.m. You can find profiles of all our adoptable animals at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet.
