Pet of the Week: Molly

Good golly, it’s Molly, our Pet of the Week!

This three-year-old lab/pittie mix was brought in by an animal control officer in mid February. At 46 pounds, she is considered a medium breed dog.

Molly was very scared when she first arrived at the Pet Adoption Center, but she has been making friends and feeling more comfortable. She has a “Rambunctious Red” personality. Molly gets nervous in new situations or being around new people and animals, so she is looking for a family that understands she might take some time to warm up. Molly is also still working on her manners, so she will need people willing to work with her and help her become the best dog she can be.

Molly has been adopted twice and returned because she attaches to one person – having other people around while she adjusts causes her stress, so her new family will need to have lots of patience, love, and understanding. Once she gets to know you, Molly is an affectionate sweetheart who just wants to be in your arms! Due to her shy nature, Molly needs a home that is calm and quiet without younger children, and possibly just a single person home. Molly will also need to be an only dog in her new home.

Molly just wants to find her forever place – can you help? Molly is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since Molly is our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee has been reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Visit kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet to learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license.

Molly has many friends also waiting to go home with you. See their profiles at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet or meet them in person at the Pet Adoption Center, 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays, and noon to 4 p.m. weekends. If you have questions, contact RASKC at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or email pets@kingcounty.gov.
