Pet of the Week: Clancy

Get to know Clancy, our Pet of the Week!

This young Siberian Husky was brought in by a good Samaritan in late July. Clancy is an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home. Being just two years old, he is full of energy and loves to play! He does best when he has lots of exercise and something to keep his mind busy. While he is rambunctious, Clancy is a bit shy and can get nervous in new situations, so he’s one of our Bashful Blue personality pets.

Clancy is a gentle and loving dog that likes to take things slow, and caregivers have noticed that he seems to do well with other dogs. However, when meeting dogs in a new home he would do best with a slow introduction. He would do best with a family that understands he might take some time to warm up. Also, Clancy has never walked on a leash before, so he will need some patience and commitment to help him learn.

If you’re looking for a devoted friend, Clancy is the one for you! He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Clancy’s adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. And since he is our Pet of the Week, his adoption fee is reduced! Note that a pet license fee may still apply. Learn all about the benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.

Stop by the King County Pet Adoption Center to meet and greet any of the pets waiting for their new homes. Walk-in adoption hours are from noon to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and noon to 4 p.m. on weekends.
