Pet of the Week: Kanga
Take the leap and bring some bounce into your life with Kanga, our Pet of the Week!
This Great Dane mix was brought in to RASKC by a good Samaritan in early April. She is a bit shy at first, but once she gets to know you her true colors will show! Kanga is an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home. She has a “Bashful Blue” personality, meaning she’s a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. Kanga may get nervous in new situations, so she would like a family who understands that she might take some time to warm up. Kanga is a sweet and affectionate gal, but because of her size (about 90 pounds!) she would probably do best in a home with older children.
Ready to leap at the opportunity to make Kanga yours? She is spayed, potty trained, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice, and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since she is our Pet of the Week, Kanga’s adoption fee has been reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
Come visit Kanga, or any of our adoptable pets, at the King County Pet Adoption Center, located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Walk-in adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays, and noon to 4 p.m. on weekends. When you find that perfect companion to take home, expect to spend about 30 minutes completing paperwork and having your pet care questions answered. Visit our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet to learn more about our adoption processes. If you have questions, reach out to us at pets@kingcounty.gov or call 206-296-7387 (PETS).
