Pet of the Week: Frankie
A little guy with a BIG heart – this is Frankie, our Pet of the Week!
This six-year-old Chihuahua mix was brought in by his previous owner in February because they could no longer care for him. Frankie lived in a home with other small dogs, and caregivers at RASKC have noticed that he seems to do well with other small dogs. When meeting dogs in a new home, Frankie would do best with a slow introduction.
Frankie’s personality color is Rambunctious Red – a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! He is a bit shy though, and still working on handling sensitivities. We think Frankie would do best in a calm, quiet home where his people can work with him to be the best dog he can be. Frankie is very treat motivated, and walks well on a leash. Since he likes to eat, Frankie has been known to guard his food and treats. If you take him home, you and your family would benefit from in-home guidance to help manage and improve this behavior.
Frankie is ready for you – are you ready for him? He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since he is our Pet of the Week, Frankie’s adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
