Pet of the Week: Avatar
Looking for a loyal companion with lots of energy to spare? Look no further than Avatar, our Pet of the Week!
This young pittie boy has been with us since late December 2021 when he was brought in by a good Samaritan.
Avatar is a very smart dog, learning and practicing how to “sit” and other commands. He is an independent boy that is a bit sensitive to handling, so he’s one of our “Rambunctious Red” personality pets. He would do best in an adult-only home where someone will take the time to get to know him.
Avatar is full of energy and loves to play! He keeps calmer when the people around him stay calm. Lots of exercise is recommended, as well as toys and games to keep his active, intelligent mind busy.
Since he has a Red personality, Avatar is still working on his doggy manners. He would do best with a family who is willing to work with him and help him become the best dog he can be!
Would you like to adopt Avatar? He comes neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. His adoption includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since Avatar is our Pet of the Week, his adoption fee is reduced though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits of having a licensed pet at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
If you’re not looking for a dog, we have lots of other furry and feathered creatures looking for their new homes at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. Check them out!
