Pet of the Week: Gracie
Our Pet of the Week’s only holiday wish is for a family to call her own. Gracie has been with us since August. She has previously been Pet of the Week, but that special family still hasn’t stopped in to meet her yet.
Gracie is a super sweet gal with a ton of energy. She is also super smart and will learn just about anything for a treat! At the Pet Adoption Center, Gracie is practicing how to sit, stay, come, down, and shake. This pretty girl is looking for someone who will help keep her mind and body active.
Caregivers have observed that Gracie might not get along with other dogs. So, she may do best as the only dog in her new home, or she may need a very slow introduction to other dogs. Gracie has been known to resource guard her food and treats. If you adopt Gracie, you will benefit from in-home guidance to help to manage and improve this behavior.
Gracie is a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality, so she is one of our “Rambunctious Red” pets. She is still working on good doggy manners, so she would do best with a family who is willing to work with her to help her become the best dog she can be!
Gracie is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. She also recently had a benign skin tag removed from her right elbow, with no further treatment needed. Her adoption comes with a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since she is our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee has been reduced. However, a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the great benefits of having a licensed pet at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
