Pet of the Week: Maya

Who can resist that sweet smile? This is Maya, our Pet of the Week!

This mastiff mix girl was brought in to the Pet Adoption Center by her previous owner in August because they could no longer care for her. Maya has only lived in homes with adults, and would like to keep it that way. Her previous owner said that Maya is incredibly sweet and affectionate with all of the adult humans that she met.

Maya’s personality color is “Rambunctious Red,” meaning she is a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality. She is still working on her manners, so she is looking for someone who is willing to work with her and help her become the best dog she can be. Maya is also a very smart dog, practicing how to “sit,” “stay,” “come,” “down,” and “shake.”

Maya is an independent dog, full of energy, and she loves to play! She does best when she has lots of exercise and something to keep her mind busy. Maya will need to be the only dog in your home with people who can give her a very independent life away from other animals.

Is there room in your home and your heart for Maya? She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. And since she’s our Pet of the Week, Maya’s adoption fee has been reduced! Please note that a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the great benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
