Pet of the Week: Elliott

Looking for a big pal with a big personality? Then let us introduce you to Elliott, our Pet of the Week!

This pittie/husky mix came to us in September. Previous owners described Elliott as a couch potato, but he does have a lot of energy and loves to play. Elliott is a very spirited, independent dog who likes to do his own thing, so he is one of our “Rambunctious Red” personality pets. Elliott is still working on his manners, so he would do best with a family who is willing to help him become the best dog he can be.

Since he’s such an energetic boy, Elliott does best when he has lots of exercise and something to keep his mind busy. At 91 pounds, Elliott is big and strong and needs a little work on his leash walking skills, but if you give him patience he promises to be a wonderful trail companion. He does best wearing a harness and walking with a calm person who can redirect him and keep him moving. Caregivers have noticed that Elliott doesn’t get along with other dogs, so he will need to be the only pet in his new home.

Ready to make Elliott a part of your life? He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. And since he’s our Pet of the Week, his adoption fee has been reduced, but please note that a pet license fee may still apply.
