Pet of the Week: Daisy

Who is the prettiest flower in the yard? This is Daisy, our Pet of the Week!

This nine-year-old Manx kitty came to us because her previous owner could no longer care for her. Daisy had lived in the same home since she was a small kitten. Her previous owner described Daisy as loving and laid back, though she does hide when she is scared or when new people come over. While she has been around other cats, Daisy doesn’t like dominant female cats.

Daisy spent time in a foster home, where she enjoyed using a playpen as a refuge and hiding in boxes. Her foster family also said that she’s a very clean cat, though she does sometimes like to lay down in her litter box – so daily litter box cleaning would be a must. Daisy loves to have her face and ears scratched, and also down the center of her back and on her rump. Daisy is a peaceful, relaxed cat, but doesn’t like loud noises, so she is one of our “Bashful Blue” personality pets. Her ideal situation would be a quiet single person without kids, or perhaps with an older person who has retired and can give her lots of time and petting.

This beautiful girl is all ready for her new home. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. And since she’s our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee has been reduced! Please note that a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the great benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
