Pet of the Week: Willow

Do you have room in your home and heart for a super sweet senior kitty? Then let us introduce you to Willow, our Pet of the Week!

This Siamese Lynx came to the Pet Adoption Center in early June because her previous owner sadly passed away. Willow has been described as shy, curious, and playful, so she is one of our “Bashful Blue” personality pets.

Willow is a gentle and loving cat who likes to take things slow. She is affectionate, but also fairly reserved, so she would do best in a calm, quiet home. She may need extra time and attention to warm up to new situations and new people. Also, Willow doesn’t seem to get along well with other cats, so she would do best as an only kitty in her new home.

Willow has moderate dental tartar and would benefit from a dental cleaning under anesthesia, and may need extractions. As a more mature lady, she may also have other underlying health conditions that have not been identified yet. Regular veterinarian visits are always recommended for every pet, no matter their age.

Would you like to adopt Willow? She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since she is our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee is reduced, but a pet license fee may still apply.

Find out more about Willow and all her other friends waiting for their new families on our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. Adoptions are still by appointment only, so make your reservation on the website. If you have more questions, contact RASKC at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or email pets@kingcounty.gov.
