Pet of the Week: Ariya

Look at those big, expressive eyes! This is Ariya, our Pet of the Week!

This tabby girl came to us because her previous family didn’t have a lot of time to spend with her. They described her as very affectionate with people. Ariya lived in a home with another cat, but they did not get along.

Ariya is an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home. She also has an independent streak, and likes getting attention on her own terms. As a pet with a “Bashful Blue” personality, Ariya may get nervous in new situations, so she is looking for a family that will give her time to warm up to them. Once that happens, Ariya will be the best of friends!

Ariya has been diagnosed with FeLV or Feline Leukemia. FeLV is transmitted through saliva and activities like sharing water bowls, communal grooming, and social contact.  This is a life-long condition and has no cure. Cats with FeLV can have a good quality of life with proper care and management. Our staff can provide more information about FeLV when you visit.

This loving girl is looking for a fur-ever home to spend the rest of her days, giving as much love as she receives. Ariya can’t wait to meet you!

Ariya is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion.  Since she is our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee has been reduced – though a pet license fee may still apply.

Can you provide the loving home Ariya deserves? Check out her and her other friends on our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. RASKC continues Adoptions by Appointment only, so make a reservation to meet Ariya or any of our adoptable pets on the website.
