Pet of the Week: Bella
Looking for an energetic playmate? Look no further than Bella, our Pet of the Week!
This young pittie girl came to the Pet Adoption Center in early June because her previous owner could not care for her anymore. They described Bella as high energy, sweet, and a cuddler.
While in our care, Bella has been quite rambunctious – her favorite thing to do is run zoomies in the yard! Since she is so full of energy, this playful girl is one of our “Rambunctious Red” pets. She does best when she has lots of exercise and something to keep her mind busy. Caregivers have noted that Bella might not get along with other dogs, so she would do best as the only dog in her new home, or she would need to meet other dogs in the home first.
Along with working on her doggy manners, Bella has been known to guard her food and toys. If you adopt her, she will benefit from in-home guidance to manage and improve this behavior.
Bella has a skin condition that is suspected to be caused by allergies. Controlling the allergen is the best treatment and regular veterinary care is recommended. Bella is currently being treated for an ear infection – medication and routine ear cleaning will help resolve this issue, which is often related to allergies. If you have questions about Bella’s health care needs, our staff will be happy to provide information.
Can you provide the wonderful home that Bella needs? She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since she is our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee is reduced, although a pet license fee may still apply. Learn all about the benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
