Roll on in to meet Rollie, our Pet of the Week!

This senior girl was brought in by her previous family because they were moving. Rollie is looking for a forever home to spend her golden years. Despite her age, Rollie is still spry and full of opinions! She’s also an affectionate lovebug who loves getting attention on her own terms. She gets overstimulated with petting, so she has a “Rambunctious Red” personality. She would do best in a home with a cat-savvy family that knows when to give Rollie some space.

Rollie does have a couple of health issues to be aware of. One is a dental issue known as FORLS (Feline Oral Resorptive Lesions). This condition can erode tooth enamel until no normal tooth structure remains. It can be painful and some cats drool and may be reluctant to eat. Treatment involves a procedure under general anesthesia, and in some cases the tooth needs to be surgically removed. Rollie is also hyperthyroid, which can be easily managed with daily medication, iodine treatment, or a prescription diet. If you adopt Rollie, you should consult with your regular veterinarian about the best treatment plan.

Rollie is litterbox trained, spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since Rollie is our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee has been reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply.
