Pet of the Week: Hilda

We’d like to introduce you to Hilda, our Pet of the Week!

She was brought to the Pet Adoption Center by a good Samaritan in late February. This sweet and gentle older lady would enjoy a nice, quiet home to retire in. Hilda is calm and loves being petted, especially on her neck and chin. She prefers not to be around other cats – that way she can have all of the attention to herself!

Hilda’s personality color is “Easy Going Green.” This means she is an adaptable cat who loves to go with the flow. Hilda is also outgoing and carefree, and can’t wait to find her new forever home!

Hilda has been diagnosed with kidney disease and has been prescribed special food. Her blood work shows some higher thyroid levels, which means she may develop hyperthyroidism in the future. This means that Hilda will need attention to her health, with regular vet checks and prescription food. Our staff would be happy to discuss Hilda’s care with you when you visit her at the Pet Adoption Center.

Like all pets from RASKC, Hilda is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice, and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since she is a Pet of the Week, her adoption fee has been waived! However, a pet license is a requirement and that fee may be applied.

Ready to give (and get) some love? You can find out more about Hilda and her other friends on our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. RASKC remains on Adoptions by Appointment only. If you have more questions, contact RASKC at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or email pets@kingcounty.gov.
