Pet of the Week: Squiggy
Say “hello” to Squiggy, our Pet of the Week!
This big, handsome guy is friendly and sweet. He’s also a great conversationalist, and loves to explore his surroundings. Squiggy really enjoys the company of humans, and will make an affectionate companion in his forever home. But, he prefers getting attention on his own terms, and can get overstimulated with petting. His new family should keep an eye out for signs that he might need a break.
As a spirited cat with a fun-loving personality, Squiggy is one of our “Rambunctious Red” pets. He would do best with a cat-savvy family who knows when to give him some space.
Squiggy has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Cats with FIV can still live fulfilling lives, but extra care may be required. Because of his diagnosis, Squiggy should live indoors only, and either as an only cat or with another FIV+ cat. Our staff will be happy to discuss Squiggy’s care when you visit.
Like all pets from RASKC, Squiggy is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice, and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since Squiggy is our Pet of the Week, his adoption fee has been waived! However, a pet license is a requirement and therefore a fee may still be applied.
You can find out more about Squiggy and his other friends waiting for a forever home on our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. We continue to do adoptions by appointment only, so make a reservation on the website. If you have questions, contact RASKC at pets@kingcounty.gov or 206-296-7387 (PETS).
