RASKC (filming): Hey!

Volunteer (Carrie): Hi.

RASKC: We’re filming 12 ways of volunteering with RASKC. We’re trying to raise some awareness about the different opportunities that we have. Do you have a quick sec?

Volunteer (Carrie): I do!

RASKC: Great, tell us your name and your volunteer shift duty.

Volunteer (Carrie): My name is Carrie and I am the co-lead at one of the adoption partner stores.

RASKC: Great and how long have you been volunteering with RASKC?

Volunteer (Carrie): I’ve been volunteering with RASKC for 5 years.

RASKC: What brought you to RASKC?

Volunteer (Carrie): What brought me to RASKC was my oldest son Jacob who wanted to volunteer with the animals, and he was about 10 years old, so we started doing the parent-youth team at one of the partner stores.

RASKC: What’s the best part of volunteering here?

Volunteer (Carrie): The best part of volunteering is that I am a stay-at-home Mom, but not a stay-at-home Mom, of seven kids, so it gives me a job that’s just mine, so while helping out the community I am able to fulfill a sense of purpose for myself.

RASKC: Great, well thank you so much for everything that you do.

Volunteer (Carrie): Thank you!
