Pet of the Week: Flower
Let’s get this girl her forever home – it’s Flower, our Pet of the Week!
This sweet girl has a huge personality and a lot of favorite activities! One of her favorite things to do is go for walks and explore. Flower would make a great adventure buddy. She also loves to play fetch and will even bark at you to throw her toy. She’s not always excited about bringing it back though, so playing with two toys at once is a good option for her.
Flower was returned by her previous family due to being too protective of her home. She is super sweet and affectionate with her family and people in her home. Because she can be protective, she would do best with additional positive reinforcement training to teach her to trust strangers. Flower does appear to be interested in other dogs, but can be too intrusive and pushy for some. Her previous family said she may do best as the only dog in her new home. She would do best meeting any new friends before going home with you.
Flower has a “Rambunctious Red” personality, meaning she is high spirited and fun-loving! Because she’s still working on her manners, Flower would do best with a family willing work with her and help her become the best dog she can be.
Flower is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption fee includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice, and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. You can find out more about Flower on our website, kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. And if you adopt her before the end of the month, you can get 50% off the regular fee during our #Home4ThePawlidays special.
(A quick note: our Kent location will be closed on Tuesday, January 1 for the New Year’s holiday. Our best wishes to you and yours in 2019!)
