Pet of the Week: Brooklyn
This week’s Pet of the Week reminds us of a place famous for its pizza and attractions like Coney Island: meet Brooklyn, our Pet of the Week!
This two-year-old male Boxer mix was brought to the Pet Adoption Center as a stray. At 65 pounds, Brooklyn is considered a large breed dog.
He can be a bit scared of strangers at first and sometimes barks at them. At the same time, he is a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality and is very smart. At the shelter he is practicing how to “sit,” “stay,” “come,” “down,” and “shake.”
Brooklyn would do best with older dog-savvy children who are accustomed to big dogs. He is still working on his manners, so he would do best with a family who is willing to work with him and help him become the best dog he can be. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
Ready to make Brooklyn your very own? RASKC’s “Pick Your Price” special on dog adoptions continues through June 30. You choose the adoption fee when you adopt an adult dog (six months or older). Adoption fees are $25, $50, $75 or $100, plus a pet license fee if applicable. Learn about all the great benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion, and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup.
If you’re looking for an awesome boy to join your pack, Brooklyn is ready for you! We also have lots of other great pets waiting for their fur-ever home at the Pet Adoption Center, 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent.
