Pet of the Week: Howdy

Say howdy to Howdy, our Pet of the Week!

This young bully mix was brought in by an animal control officer back in early April with two other dogs. At almost 70 pounds, Howdy is considered a large breed dog.

Howdy is a very smart dog, and has been practicing his commands at the Pet Adoption Center. He loves finding treats and things to get into, so he will need lots of exercise and activities to keep his mind busy so he doesn’t get into trouble. Howdy also has boundaries and will need a home where his people can take time to get to know him and learn his limits. For that reason, we suggest an adults-only home or a home with teenage children. Howdy does well with other dogs, but cannot live with cats.

Howdy is very affectionate, and would love to cuddle up with you. He is still working on his manners, so he would do best with people willing to work with him to become the best dog he can be.

Ready to adopt Howdy? He comes current on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. You also get 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion, and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. During our “Pick Your Price” promotion in May, you get to decide what you’d like to pay for Howdy’s adoption fee! Note that a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
