Pet of the Week: Sif

This week’s Pet of the Week is full of elegance and mystery – meet Sif!

This two-year-old Siberian husky was brought in to the Pet Adoption Center by a good Samaritan in early April. While he does have a microchip, unfortunately no one came in to claim Sif. At almost 60 pounds, Sif is considered a large breed dog.

His name comes from “sifar,” which can signify bonds and affiliations. Like his namesake, once you gain Sif’s trust, he will be yours forever!

Sif loves treats and toys, and will happily sit for them. He’s also “wiggly” and full of energy, so he’s one of our Rambunctious Red personality pets. Sif’s favorite game is playing “keep away” with a toy in his mouth. Sif will need a lot of physical exercise and activities to keep his mind busy. While Sif did well with another dog at RASKC, he would do best with another large breed dog that can handle his high energy level, or as an only dog in his new home.

Sif is ready for you – are you ready for him? He comes neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet health insurance through Trupanion, and a lifetime discount on online training from GoodPup. Since he’s our Pet of the Week, Sif’s adoption fee has been reduced, but note that a pet license fee may still apply.
