Pet of the Week: Tula
We’re looking for a special place for our special Pet of the Week Tula.
This six-year-old Australian Shepherd mix came to us in late January because her previous owner had difficulty keeping her confined. Due to her history of escaping, Tula will need to be adopted to someone who lives outside of King County.
Tula is quite anxious at the Pet Adoption Center, so she’s considered one of our “Bashful Blue” personality pets. Ideally, her new home should be a calm, quiet one, perhaps with older children. Tula did live with another dog in her previous home. Despite her anxiety, she is an affectionate lovebug who would love nothing more than to hang out with you at home. Tula loves to play, and is full of energy. She does best when she has lots of exercise and something to keep her mind busy. Tula may get nervous in new situations, so she needs a family that understands she might take some time to warm up. However, once she gets to know you, Tula will be a very devoted friend!
Can you give Tula the secure, special place she needs to thrive? Tula is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since Tula is our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
