Pet of the Week: Jacob
We’ve got a dog-gone good choice for Pet of the Week – here’s Jacob!
This two-year-old German Shepherd mix dog came to us in mid-January. Jacob is a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality. He is still working on his manners, so he would do best with a family who is willing to work with him and help him become the best dog he can be. Because he’s so energetic and playful, Jacob is one of our Rambunctious Red personality pets.
At 65 pounds, Jacob is considered a large breed dog. He is very smart, practicing “sit” and “down.” Jacob tends to calm down more when the people around him stay calm, and does best when he gets lots of exercise and something to keep his mind busy.
If you’re looking for a smart, young, energetic boy to join your family, come visit Jacob at the Pet Adoption Center! He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since Jacob is our Pet of the Week, his adoption fee has been reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Having a license helps ensure a safe return home if Jacob gets lost, and comes with additional benefits such as Vacation Pet Alert, Free Ride Home, and more. Visit kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet to learn about all the benefits that come with a pet license.
Jacob has many furry friends also waiting for their forever homes. You can see their profiles at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet or meet them in person at the Pet Adoption Center, 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays, and noon to 4 p.m. weekends. If you have questions, contact RASKC at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or email pets@kingcounty.gov.
