Pet of the Week: Dallas

You don’t have to travel all the way to the Lone Star State to meet our Pet of the Week Dallas!

This nine-month-old American Bulldog mix was brought in to the Pet Adoption Center by a good Samaritan in early November. When Dallas first arrived, he was very shut down and afraid of everyone and everything.  However, caregivers worked tirelessly with Dallas, and he’s learned to trust humans again.

Due to his shy nature, Dallas would do best in a home with no young children. Even though he’s a bit reserved at times, Dallas is still considered one of our “Rambunctious Red” personality pets due to his boundless energy and fun-loving personality. Dallas is very food and toy motivated, and would do best with a family that can keep him moving and his mind busy. Dallas is also still working on his best doggie manners, like walking on leash, so he will need someone strong to take him on walks and teach him everything he needs to know about being the best dog he can be.

If you’re looking for a fun pal to keep you on your feet and moving, please come visit Dallas! He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since he’s our Pet of the Week, Dallas’ adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the great benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
