Pet of the Week: Joko

Looking for a buddy for fall fun? Let us introduce you to Joko, our Pet of the Week!

This young German Shepherd mix was brought in to the Pet Adoption Center by his previous owner in late August. He’s a bit shy, so he’s one of our Bashful Blue personality pets. It might take Joko a little bit of time to adjust in a new home, but he is an affectionate lovebug once he’s comfortable. Joko also has an independent streak and likes to do his own thing sometimes.

Joko lived in a home with another dog, and caregivers at RASKC have noticed that Joko seems to do well with other large dogs. When meeting dogs in his new home, Joko would do best with a slow introduction. His previous owner said Joko can be wary of men at first, but is okay once he warms up to them. Joko does not get along with cats, and would do best in a home with no children.

Joko is a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. He may get nervous in new situations, so he would like a family who understands that he might take some time to warm up. Once he gets to know you, Joko will be a very devoted friend!

Can you give Joko the love and companionship he needs? He is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Joko’s adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. And since he is our Pet of the Week, Joko’s adoption fee is reduced!
