Pet of the Week: Rex
Here’s a regal boy looking for his forever home – meet Rex, our Pet of the Week!
This German Shepherd came to us in late June because his previous owner could no longer care for him. Rex is almost four years old, and lived in a home with adults and children. His previous owner described Rex as friendly, and we’ve noticed he’s also a very smart dog! At the Pet Adoption Center, Rex has been learning to sit, shake, and lay. He is very treat motivated and would love to learn more!
Rex is an independent dog, full of energy, and loves to play. This makes him one of our “Rambunctious Red” personality pets. He tends to calm down when the people around him stay calm. Rex does best when he has lots of exercise and something to keep his mind busy. Rex also has a very high prey drive, so he shouldn’t be in a home with other small animals.
Can you give Rex the loving new home he craves? Rex is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. And since he is our Pet of the Week, Rex’s adoption fee is reduced! Note that a pet license fee may still apply. Learn all about the benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
Our Pet Adoption Center is open to walk-in adoptions from noon to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and noon to 4 p.m. on weekends. See all of our adoptable pets at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. If you have questions, contact us at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or pets@kingcounty.gov.
