We have a two-fer for Pet of the Week – meet Steve and Brenda!

These two tabby siblings came to the Pet Adoption Center in mid-June because their previous family had to move. Like peanut butter and jelly, or sugar and spice, these three-year-olds just go together. They are very bonded to each other, so Brenda and Steve must be adopted as a pair.

Brenda is an independent girl who likes to do her own thing. As one of our Rambunctious Red personality pets, she prefers getting attention on her own terms, and can get overstimulated with petting. Because of this, Brenda would do best in a calm quiet home without young children. Brenda seems to do well with other cats, especially her brother Steve, but a slow introduction to any other cats in their new home is best.

Steve can be a little shy at first, but warms up pretty quickly. Unlike his sister, he has a Bashful Blue personality. Steve is very affectionate once he gets to know you. He loves treats, so that may help win Steve over. He is a gentle and loving cat who may get nervous in new situations, so he is looking for a family who understands that he might need some time to warm up.

Do you have room in your heart and home for two? Brenda and Steve are spayed and neutered, litterbox trained, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Their adoption comes with many benefits, including 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since they have been featured as Pet of the Week, their adoption fee is reduced, though a pet license fee may still apply. Check kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet to learn about all the great benefits of licensing your pet.

You can visit Brenda and Steve at the Pet Adoption Center, 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. weekdays, and noon to 4 p.m. on weekends.
