Pet of the Week: Safari
Go on the journey of a lifetime with Safari, our Pet of the Week!
This younger pittie mix was brought in by her previous family in February because they were moving. Safari lived indoors with adults, mostly female. They described Safari as very curious, outgoing, and protective. She is crate trained, but not leash trained, and semi-potty trained. Unfortunately, Safari doesn’t get along with men, so when meeting them she will need a slow introduction.
Safari already knows a few tricks like “sit,” “lay down,” and “paw,” and responds to her name. Caregivers have noticed that Safari seems to do well with other dogs of similar size, but not small dogs. When meeting dogs in a new home, she would do best with a slow introduction. Because she’s still working on her manners, Safari is one of our “Rambunctious Red” personality pets. She would do best with a family who is willing to work with her and help her become the best dog she can be!
Safari is a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality – and would love to cuddle up with you at home. Safari is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. As Pet of the Week, Safari’s adoption fee is waived, but a pet license fee may still apply. Find out all about the benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
