Pet of the Week: Izzy
Looking for a friend to keep you busy? Then meet Izzy, our Pet of the Week!
This beautiful black-and-white girl was brought in by her previous owner in September because they could no longer care for her.
When she first arrived at the Pet Adoption Center, Izzy’s personality color was “Bashful Blue.” Since then though, she has blossomed into a high-energy “Green”! She may take some time to warm up to you, but after that she will be a very devoted friend. Izzy loves going for long trail walks where she can occasionally stop to sniff the leaves. She would be great with an active family that likes to get out into nature, or just walks around the neighborhood.
Izzy has lacked stability in her life, so she can be nervous and insecure. She will need her new people to give her the patience and TLC that she deserves. Izzy would prefer a home with no other animals, so that you can spend all your time with her. While she does enjoy the company of other dogs and is generally well behaved with them, Izzy can be protective of her “things.” This means that you will need to be cautious to keep Izzy separate when feeding or playing with toys. If Izzy does live with another dog, it would be okay as long as she is provided thoughtful boundaries.
Can you give Izzy the stable, loving home she deserves? She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. And since she’s our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee has been reduced! Please note that a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the great benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
