Pet of the Week: Gracie

Our Pet of the Week Gracie is ready to “grace” your home!

This gorgeous pittie mix came to us in August because her family moved into a home where they were unable to keep her.

Gracie is a very smart dog – she is practicing sit, stay, come, down, and shake. Shake is her favorite, because she gets lots of treats and it is adorable! She is a spirited dog and still working on her manners, so Gracie is one of our “Rambunctious Red” pets. She will do best with a family who is willing to work with her and help her become the best dog she can be!

Energy is something Gracie has in abundance – she is very affectionate and loves to play. She will need lots of exercise and something to keep her active mind busy. Gracie isn’t a huge fan of other dogs though, so she would prefer to be your only four-legged friend.  But, Gracie loves all human friends and would love to meet with as many people as possible!

Gracie has been known to “resource guard,” especially food and treats. If you take Gracie home, you will benefit from in-home guidance to help to manage and improve this behavior.

Ready to go with Gracie? She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. And since she’s our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee has been reduced! Please note that a pet license fee may still apply. Learn about all the great benefits of pet licensing at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
