Pet of the Week: Eclipse
Bring some sunshine into your life with Eclipse, our Pet of the Week!
This young girl came to us in May because her previous caregiver says she became grumpy after moving from a large home to a small apartment. Eclipse needs space to run around and get all of her energy out!
Most of the time, Eclipse is an affectionate lovebug who likes to cuddle – but she also has an independent streak where she likes to do her own thing. She can get overstimulated with petting, so her new family will need to watch for signs that she needs a break. Because she’s one of our “Rambunctious Red” pets, Eclipse would do best in an adult-only home, perhaps with access outside so she can get the freedom that makes her happy and relaxed.
Eclipse really enjoys playing with wands and rope toys, as it gives her a chance to practice her hunting skills – keeping your hands safe! Caregivers at the Pet Adoption Center have noticed that Eclipse doesn’t seem to get along with other cats, so she may do best as the only cat in her new home.
You will notice that her right eye looks a little different from her left. That’s because of an old injury that has since healed. It doesn’t seem to affect Eclipse at all.
Are you interested in adopting Eclipse? She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Her adoption comes with a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. Since she is our Pet of the Week, her adoption fee has been reduced, however a pet license fee may be applied. Learn more about the benefits of having a licensed pet at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
