Pet of the Week: Bagheera

Look who has their eyes on the prize… it’s Bagheera, our Pet of the Week!

This young boy was brought in by a good Samaritan in early August. Bagheera likes to think he’s a panther – because he looks just like one! But that’s all just appearances, though, because Bagheera is actually a gentle and loving cat who likes to take things slow. So, he’s one of our “Bashful Blue” pets – one that would do best in a nice quiet home. He may get nervous in new situations, so he’s looking for a family that understands he might need some time to warm up. Bagheera also likes to receive affection on his own terms – but once he gets to know you, he will be a very devoted friend!

Bagheera is litterbox trained, neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. As Pet of the Week, his adoption fee is waived, though a pet license fee may still apply. His adoption comes with a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion.

Pet licenses help in so many ways. Not only do the fees go toward helping animals at the Pet Adoption Center, licensed pets also get a Free Ride Home should they ever get lost, Vacation Pet Alert, and much more! Visit our licensing page for details.

If you’d like to meet Bagheera, or any of our adoptable pets, visit our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet. You can see photos and short descriptions of each pet, and make an appointment to adopt. If you have any questions, please contact us at 206-296-7387 (PETS) or pets@kingcounty.gov.
