Pet of the Week: Georgie
Don’t let the scowl fool you – our Pet of the Week Georgie is actually a sweetheart!
This older tabby girl enjoys chillin’ in her human friends’ laps. Like most cats, Georgie also loves to relax, nap, purr, nap, and then repeat. She used to live in a home with another cat and a dog. She also lived with kids, but wasn’t a good fit there. Georgie can be a little shy around kids and other cats, and would prefer to be the only kitty in her new home. She could live with another cat, as long as she eats separately from them. She really likes wet food, but sometimes needs to take her time and doesn’t like other cats getting in her space.
Georgie has an “Easy Going Green” personality, meaning she is an adaptable cat who loves to go with the flow. Georgie is outgoing and carefree, and just can’t wait to find her forever home!
Georgie has hyperthyroidism, which can cause weight loss and other issues. This is currently being managed with daily medication. Other treatment options may be available, including a prescription diet. Regular veterinary visits to monitor her condition are recommended. You can get more information when you come visit Georgie at RASKC.
Georgie is spayed, litter box trained, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. As Pet of the Week, Georgie’s adoption fee is waived! (A pet license fee may still apply.) Included with Georgie’s adoption is a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion.
