Pet of the Week: Rosie

A kitty by any other name would be just as sweet – meet Rosie, our Pet of the Week!

Rosie is a 5-year-old shorthair calico cat. This gorgeous girl has a “Rambunctious Red” personality, meaning she is a spirited cat with a fun-loving personality. Rosie is such a sweet girl and just loves hanging out with her human friends. She loves attention and will even reach out to you as you pass by to get your attention.

Since she does have such a big personality, she can sometimes get overstimulated with petting, so she would do best in a cat-savvy home. Rosie has been diagnosed with a urinary tract disease called FLUTD. This condition can be managed through diet, drinking adequate water, and reducing stress, so she is excited to find a new low-key home.

Rosie has lived with other cats before and has done well with them. She will do best with a slow introduction to any other pets in her new home. Rosie is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption fee includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion.

You can find out more about Rosie on our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet, or come visit her and her friends at the Pet Adoption Center in Kent.
