Pet of the Week: Oreo

This sweet guy is Oreo, our Pet of the Week!

This handsome senior boy is playful and affectionate. He has lived in a home with other cats and a large dog, as well as with younger and older kids. While Oreo’s previous family feels he makes a good indoor/outdoor cat, he would need to be supervised while outside and would probably enjoy being on a harness. He loves string toys, batting at them when you play with him. Oreo is very sweet and likes lots of petting, but is not very interested in being picked up.

Oreo would like consistency and calmness in his new home. His previous family noticed that whenever new people would visit, he would get stressed and urinate outside the litterbox. His previous family feels his litterbox habits would improve if provided a bit more privacy. Oreo would probably do great if provided a room of his own with all his stuff in it, or a room where he can escape to when guests come over.

Since he likes to take things slow, Oreo has a “Bashful Blue” personality. He is a gentle and loving cat that may need some time to warm up. He may get nervous in new situations, and is looking for a family who understands his needs.

Oreo is neutered, litter box trained, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice, and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion.

You can see Oreo in person at the Pet Adoption Center in Kent, or see him and all our adoptable pets online at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet.
