Pet of the Week: Lorna

Can you find room in your home and your heart for Lorna, our Pet of the Week?

This young orange tabby is a very sweet girl. However, she is a bit under-socialized and needs some patience and love. So, we’re calling her one of our “Bashful Blue” personality pets.

Lorna likes to be held and petted, but hasn’t trusted people before she was brought to us. Her caregivers say she likes having her forehead gently scratched but may tense up and hiss if you move anywhere else. Lorna just needs a patient person to give her the attention and time she needs to blossom into the sweet kitty she is. Lorna also loves hidey boxes, so it would be a good idea to provide her some so she doesn’t hide in places you don’t want her to go.

While she will take some time to warm up to you, we think Lorna will fall in love with her new forever family with time. Once she gets to know you, she will be a very devoted friend!

Lorna is spayed, litter box trained, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Her adoption fee includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice, and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion.

You can find out more about Lorna on our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet, or visit her in person at the Pet Adoption Center in Kent.
