Pet of the Week: Dexter
Who’s a handsome boy? Why, it’s Dexter, our Pet of the Week!
This young pittie is full of energy and loves to play! That’s why he’s one of our “Rambunctious Red” pets. He tends to calm down more when people around him stay calm. Dexter also does best when he gets lots of exercise and something to keep his mind busy. He’s still working on his manners and would do great if enrolled in some positive reinforcement training because he loves to use his brain to work for his treats!
Dexter does well with other large dogs, and has lived with another large dog in his previous home. He would benefit from a slow introduction to any dogs in his new home. Dexter is suited more for larger dogs versus smaller dogs or other small animals.
Dexter is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. His adoption fee includes a free visit to the veterinarian of your choice and 30 days of opt-in pet insurance through Trupanion. You can find out more about Dexter on our website at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet, or visit him in person at the Pet Adoption Center in Kent.
